I had an awesome director my first time with MK. She moved away. When I decided to come back to MK I signed up under her director with no problem. But it is not kosher to start with someone and then leave them for someone else unless they can’t mentor you anymore.

We used to be asked to pay for meetings when our group was using a business. But our director has been very hospitable and has opened up her home and provides snacks. I think it was decided that the rent was another expense that could be cut. But yes, we paid a nominal fee like the other person posted

I found this right after (a few minutes ago) placing my first MK order in a while. I am one of those “personal use consultants” that they hate but it works for me. Nice to know we have a title. I just ordered because they had a 60% off flash sale. I don’t order things I can’t use. I order for myself and as gifts. My biggest disappointment was not being able to order the hand sanitizer as they were out. I would have ordered a lot of those to reach my total required and then resale to nurses I work with. But I ordered what I will use and give as gifts and I am a happy camper. I order when I need to. As long as I order 225 wholesale they reinstate me. I would never be able to use that much product every two to three months.

I am a hair stylist, entrepreneur, and several other titles for profit. Although you have a valid point for your situation, your investment of $9000 is more than this girls $500. Apparently you don’t no everyone’s story or struggles therefor she is probably richer than you now just from blogging. So keep sticking to doing hair sweetie.

This is how I feel about working any MLM business. It is no different than any other business to get started. One still has to forefront money to buy products, business cards, store front, insurances, ads etc.. I can go on. I do not think most take that into perspective. You spoke what I am always thinking.

I have been a consultant for over 20 years and just decided to quit because frankly, I can buy product that I use very cheap on ebay! I always ask the expiration on the item and I’m quitting mostly because I’m sick of the director BRAGGING that WE did it again this year and WE got a pink Cadillac- but I don’t see anyone else driving it but her!!! Shouldn’t she be sharing it with the members of the unit?? She wouldn’t dare! I’m sick of making her money and she reaps the benefits! Over 45,000 people on ebay selling Mary Kay! That’s where I’m going!

Stephanie I was told the same, and now I have inventory that needs to move. I’m in the whole, I won’t be making anymore orders just to get the discount for me and my family

Deb, I have joined MK, I have probably $800 in product and just don’t have the motivation to sell. Where are you located, and if you could help me with a couple secrets. I guess the turn downs are just not worth the effort. Maybe I should turn in the product🤷🏻‍♀️
