Since I have several mom figures in my life, I've been trying to brainstorm ways I can make each of them feel special. I finally found it! Some of us are really lucky to grow up with great moms, step-moms, or mothering figures, yet we often take them for granted. We only think about the things we wish we could change — and let the so-called “nagging,” phone calls, and “okaaayyy, moommm” get in the way of truly appreciating her.

But nothing can compare to a mother’s love — it’s fierce, unconditional, and life-giving — and I’m so grateful to be as close to my mom as I am.

This Mother’s Day, it’s our job to show our mothers how much we care…
